THE SAINTS PLAYS
Luminarium · Mysterium · Miraculum
Coming Soon — 2026
In this sweeping dramatic collection, Scot Lahaie brings to the stage three towering figures of Christian history whose lives were forged in suffering, refined in faith, and crowned in divine encounter.
From the royal courts of ancient Armenia to the turbulent fires of the English Reformation, and the palace balcony of medieval Cairo to the refuse-strewn workshop of a holy fool, The Saints Plays gathers three full-length dramas that explore the cost of discipleship and the triumph of grace.
Luminarium recounts the conversion of King Drtad of Armenia through the witness and endurance of Gregory the Illuminator, who endures imprisonment and torture in the hope that light might pierce a kingdom bound in darkness.
Mysterium dramatizes the trial and martyrdom of Thomas Cranmer, the first Protestant Archbishop of Canterbury, as he wrestles with doubt, recantation, and ultimate resolve in the shadow of the stake.
Miraculum retells the beloved Coptic legend of Saint Simon the Tanner, whose radical humility and childlike faith become the means by which a mountain is moved and a people are delivered.
Spanning centuries and continents, these plays reveal a single truth: that God raises unlikely servants to confront kings, endure fire, and defy the impossible. Faith proves stronger than fear, humility greater than power, and divine mercy triumphant over history itself.
The Saints Plays offers readers and performers a collection of sacred drama rooted in historical witness and animated by theological depth.
